  • Corona relief - Lockdown Period, 16th May, Delhi and Uttarakhand
    In order to stop the migration of labourers, the organization is putting the best foot forward. Besides groceries, 275 litres of milk is distributed daily in the industrial area of Samaypur and the adjoining areas. Families with children and pregnant women are selected as primary beneficiaries. The organization has extended this help in the remote areas of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand district.
    Besides, Non-Covid care program Project SAHARA- (Special Assistance for Healthcare in Areas of Ravaged Abode) to give medical assistance and free medicine to the needy has also been started.

  • Corona relief - Lockdown Period, 27th March Onwards, New Delhi
    Ever since the lockdown was introduced in Delhi, Karuna Prem decided to do something for the cause. There were many challenges ahead. Besides fighting the disease, the first and foremost challenge was the survival of the daily wagers who would go jobless and away from their family. Henceforth, the organization started planning and came with the best foot forward.
    We arranged curfew pass for transportation and collected groceries from a few known wholesalers. Made a survival kit of flour, rice, pulse, sugar, salt, chilli powder, mustard oil and a soap. All this was ready by 27th and on 28th we started the distribution. Around 50 to 60 packets of groceries are being distributed every day. Awareness drive with distribution of masks and sanitiser is a regular feature at Patliputra Nursing Home. People are taught the preventive measures to be taken, right technique of hand wash, importance of social distancing and isolation. They are advised to stay home.

  • 23rd December to 25th December 2018 and 2019, West Bengal
    Karuna Prem in association with Universal Peace Center organised a three day medical camp at Lachipur in Ghatal district of West Bengal where 350 and 750 patients consulted various specialist doctors.
    From Karuna Prem, Dr A. K. De, Dr. Shipra Guha from London, Dr Bose from Australia, Dr Sandeep Bhasin from Delhi and Dr Kiran Kukreja from.Delhi offered their expert advice and service whereas Dr Sangeeta Budhiraja looked after the administration.

    On 15th and 16th October 2012 at Lakha village of shajhapur district of Uttar Pradesh, a mini camp was held where 1555 patients were benefitted with the medical team of Karuna Prem.

  • 8th October 2012, Badnawar jail in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh
    A one day camp was organized at Badnawar jail in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on 8th October 2012,where 535 patients came for consultation.

  • 30th September 2012 , Sacroda village of Roorkee district of Uttarakhand
    A one day OPD camp was organized at Sacroda village of Roorkee district of Uttarakhand, on 30th September 2012
    where a team of five doctors and volunteers of Karuna Prem, Ms. Sangeeta Budhiraja, Sh. T.K.Jain and Sh.Gurvinder Singh served the patients. The famous plastic surgeon Dr.Vimla Rajan and Dr. Ruchika Mathew also attended the camp.

  • 11th and 18th September 2012 , Sandesh Khali,Poorva Khali, Bownia, Bostiwadi villages of 24 Pargana, West Bengal
    At Sandesh Khali,Poorva Khali, Bownia, Bostiwadi villages of 24 Pargana, West Bengal, a six day camp was organized from 11 th to 18th September 2012, by a team of two doctors and two volunteers where 583 patients were treated.
    Their blood sugar and blood pressure were also measured for a routine check- up.

  • 7th and 8th September 2012 , Ahishetra in Anwala district of Uttar Pradesh
    Under the supervision of sh. T.K.Jain, a team of four doctors and three volunteers once again visited Ahishetra for the monthly camp on 7th and 8th September 2012 and examined 1420 patients.
    According to our gynecologist Dr. Shashi Narang, the women had become little aware about the sanitation and nutritional value but the change will definitely take time.

  • 25th and 26th August 2012, Kesur and Karod Kalan villages of Madhya Pradesh
    On 25th and 26th August 2012, a team of three doctors and two volunteers visited Badnawar at Madhya Pradesh and conducted medical camps at Kesur and Karod Kalan villages where 910 and 860 patients were treated respectively.
    A team of doctors from Murlidhar Hospital, Indore joined the camp and examined eye patients. 18 patients were scrutinized for cataract surgery. 21 cases of surgery for the next mega camp were scrutinized.

  • 18th August 2012 , Mamdot in Ferozpur district of Punjab
    At Mamdot in Ferozpur district of Punjab, 365 patients were benefitted by the expert medical team of Karuna Prem in a camp organized on 18th of August 2012.

  • 10th and 11th of August 2012 , Ahishetra in Anwala district of Uttar Pradesh
    Once again the Karuna Prem team visited Ahishetra on 10th and 11th of August 2012 and 13th-14th July 2012 to review the villagers’ health status.
    The regular influx of patients reveal the trust of patients in the treatment given by the team.

  • Bhatwari, Uttarakhand
    In collaboration with Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram, Karuna Prem organized a 3 day medical camp at Bhatwari in Uttarakhand
    In the three day camp, where 433 patients were treated by a group of 2 doctors and 2 volunteers.

  • 2nd to 4th June 2012, Reetha Sahib, Champawat, Uttarakhand
    It was a three day camp from 2nd to 4th June 2012. The team consisted of our gynecologist Dr. Shashi Narang and along with volunteer Sh. Ajit Singh and the Director Projects Gurvinder Singh.
    The camp was warmly welcomed by the villagers and nearly 2890 patients were benefitted. 200 samples of blood sugar were tested and 350 patients got their B.P checked. The key factor behind the success of the camp was the co-operation of Indo-Tibet Border Police.

  • 20th May 2012 to 22nd May 2012, Bhiki Wind, Amritsar,Punjab
    A medical camp was organized from 20TH May 2012 to 22nd May 2012 at Valtoha and Bahadur Nagar in Bhiki Wind, 40 km away from Amritsar. The camp consisted of doctors and the volunteers under the supervision of Project Director Gurvinder Singh.
    In the three day camp, nearly 340 patients were treated. Once again the Ferozpur district of Punjab buzzed with the activities of Karuna Prem when the team reached there on 23rd June 2012 for a two day camp.280 patients at Ferozpur and 455 at Veeram were benefitted.

  • May 2012, PSC, Chungthang,Sikkim
    A four day camp was organized in the month of May 2012 at PSC, Chungthang for the quake victims. It was a distant place in the lap of Himalayas at a height of 17100 ft from the sea level.
    The team consisted of Dr. Mohan Chopra and Project Director Sh. Gurvinder Singh. The team started for Siliguri,1500 km from Delhi by train and from there to Gangtok and Chungthang by road.nearly 945 patients were benefitted. Besides 140 commoners got their blood sugar level checked where as 200 were concerned about their B.P. approx 90 specs and hearing aid were distributed to the needy .

  • 27 April 2012 to 29 April 2012, Ahishetra and Bilaspur in Anwala district of Uttar Pradesh
    A 3 day medical camp was organized at Ahishetra and Bilaspur in Anwala district of Uttar Pradesh from 27 April 2012 to 29 April 2012 in which 1870 patients were treated. Blood sugar level of 80 patients and blood pressure of nearly 100 patients were monitored to over-rule any complication in day to day life .
    Seeing the need of the area, once again on 9th and 10th of June 2012, the team went to the same place and 1320 patients got the chance to seek the expert opinion and treatment in the camp. This time not only the routine check-up was done but 120 specs and hearing aids were also distributed to the needy ones. The team with three doctors was under the supervision of Director Program Sh. T.K.Jain.

  • 20th April 2012 to 23rd April 2012, Kaudiyala Ghat in Tinkunia in Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh
    A three day camp was organized from 20th April 2012 to 23rd April 2012 at Kaudiyala Ghat in Tinkunia in Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh, just 3 km away from Nepal border, where around 1560 patients turned up for the general OPD consultation.
    70 patients took the benefit of blood pressure measurement facility and 40 got their blood sugar level checked. Besides, 96 specs and hearing aids were given to the beneficiaries.

  • 09 October 2011, Uttarakhand
    Karuna Prem organized a mini camp in Sakroda village near Roorkee.
    The camp was headed by Dr. Bimla Rajan Matthews ,a known plastic surgeon. This 1 day camp was attended by around 900 villagers , who were provided with the medical facilities by the doctors of Karuna Prem.

    Karuna Prem Society and U & N foundation organized the Premier show of the critically acclaimed movie "I am Kalam".
    The movie describes the extraordinary journey of a kid "Kalam" who resolves to fight poverty and hardships. The show received a huge response as more than 150 people attended the show.
